The Class of '58
The Class of 58 is a fast moving, colourful, high impact show which generates a feel good factor with anyone who sees it.
After years of West End and UK national tours with some of rock 'n roll's biggest stage musicals, Shane Cortese returned home to NZ and compiled this 17 piece rock 'n roll extravaganza. The show is the brainchild of both Shane and Chet O'Connell (lead guitarist).
The Class of 58 takes you back to a time of innocence, when music begged you to dance and sing-along and is packed with favourite and unforgettable tunes from the 50's.
Shane and Chet are passionate about the music and era, with lighting plots and costumes to add to the experience. They are both born entertainers and have a natural repartee with audiences on stage.
The show features the hits of, Chuck Berry, Dion, Eddie Cochrane, Buddy Holly, Brian Setzer, Del Shannon, Ricky Nelson and others.
A highlight of the show is a 20 minute non stop musical tribute to Elvis that chronicles his life through his songs which has had crowds on their feet and yelling for more.
