Susan Wood
Susan Wood was a regular face on New Zealand screens as the presenter of a range of different news and lifestyle shows – with her most notable roles as Paul Holmes' regular fill-in on Holmes, and then as host of TV ONE’s Close Up.
Susan started her career with Television New Zealand in 1985 as a reporter for the then – Network News and Top Half.
This was followed by a year as the Australia correspondent for ONE Network News.
In the years since, Susan has hosted the lifestyle series Open Home and New Zealand Living, has been Paul Holmes' regular fill-in on Holmes, presented Frontline, Assignment and was the original presenter of Midday.
For two-and-a-half years, Susan co-presented Breakfast with Mike Hosking. She left her position on the early-morning news and current affairs show to take up a new challenge – Today Live!, which ran for a further two years.
Alongside her role on Holmes, Susan also presented TV ONE's acclaimed documentary strand, DNZ.
