Sally Cockburn
Dr Sally Cockburn practices medicine in the Australian city of Melbourne. She is possibly best known as ‘Dr Feelgood’ through her national TV and radio profile as host of the highly successful late night relationship talk back radio program ‘Pillowtalk’.
She is currently on Australia’s Channel 9’s ‘Today’ program. She is also a long time regular health commentator on 3AW Melbourne’s Neil Mitchell program each Thursday morning.
Sally has written for many national magazines and her own book reached the bestseller list. Currently she writes a Q&A health column for the youth magazine ‘Girlfriend’.She has received an MBF award for excellence in health journalism and the Radio Industry Award for best documentary. She was also an Australia Day Ambassador for three years.Behind the scenes she is active in health policy and education at several levels. Sally is on the board of the Monash Medical Faculty Foundation, the Board of Family Planning Victoria and the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria.
Sally is a member of the Patrons council of the Royal District Nursing Service, a patron of Melbourne Osteoporosis Support Group, Southern Mental Health Association, and Marie Stopes International. She is also an Ambassador for the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. ’Dr Feelgood’ also works as consultant with Parks Victoria on the multi award winning ‘Healthy Parks Healthy People’ Project, promoting parks as a place improve mind body and soul while forging partnerships for Parks Vic with many community groups and support organisations.
