Phil Keoghan got his big break in front of the camera hosting the New Zealand series 'Spot On'. At the time he auditioned he was on an apprentice program in cinematography. This programme was followed by '3.45 Live'.

Now in his seventh season hosting 'The Amazing Race', Phil Keoghan has worked all over the world as a cameraman, producer and host. Phil and The Amazing Race won their third Emmy award in 2005.

Since the age of 19, he has hosted more than 1000 program episodes, including his own internationally distributed series 'Keoghan's Heroes', which profiles famous thrill-seekers around the world.

Phil is currently executive producing and hosting a new series for the Discovery Channel called 'No Opportunity Wasted' which gives people from all over the United States the chance to live their dreams. Phil has also penned a book by the same name which he hopes will encourage people to write and follow their "List for Life”. Phil’s book is currently at number 2 in New Zealand and number 10 in Australia. Oprah Winfrey has featured Phil on several occasions.

'No Opportunity Wasted' is inspired by Phil’s own near-death experience as a 19-year-old. Since that day he has been following his own list, which was originally written on the back of a brown paper bag and is now a constant, changing work in progress.
