Sports presenter, radio host, businesswoman and Variety Club Ambassador Lana Coc-Kroft has come a long way in the past few years.

She first appeared on our screens in 1988 turning letters on the successful game show Wheel of Fortune – __which continued for more than five years. In 1994 Lana joined the team on __Mountain Dew on the Edge – an outdoor adventure programme – where she was constantly facing new challenges: heli-bungy jumping from 1000ft, river surfing, diving with sharks, to name just a few.

In early 1997 91ZM, one of the country's most successful radio brands, was launched in Auckland and Lana joined the breakfast crew. She later hosted their Drive show in the afternoons.

Lana is a presenter on Sky's TAB Sports Cafe where she asks the questions the "experts" forget – or would like to avoid!

Lana also co-hosted__ Across the Ditch, a TV2 show which saw Lana __with co-host former Tall Black Glen Denham, ambushing people and taking them to Australia to fulfil a challenge.

Her personal philosophy is straightforward: "Don't let others throw you off your true course and don't let other people dictate how successful you can be".

In 2004 Lana suffered a near-fatal illness during filming of Celebrity Treasure Island in Fiji. The strength of her family, the love for her kids and partner guided her through this horrible sickness, which only 50 per cent of people survive. A true example of her unconquerable spirit and zest for life!
