John Tickell
Dr Tickell is credited with pioneering health management clinics in Australia. He is the Developer and Medical Director of the Hyatt Regency Coolum International Resort on Australia's Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
He has seen life from both sides of the desk – as a medical consultant to highly pressured corporate individuals, and as a successful business person who created a magnificent 140 million dollar resort from the ground up.
Known as the man who turns "Stress into Success", Dr Tickell is unmistakably Australian. He is a medico wit with a message... his analysis of self-management skills is brilliant. He will take you back to the three basics, then upwards from there. There is always a huge gap between medical knowledge and its practical implementation. Tickell puts them together.
Inspired by the successful executives with whom he consulted, Dr Tickell has applied the knowledge of stress and its effects on the immune system to develop winning self management techniques.
He is a resolute nonconformist and refuses to accept coronary disease, cancer or diminished sex drive as part of the normal aging process. Author of the best selling books 'A Passion for Living' and 'Laughter, Sex, Vegetables & Fish', his innovative approach to self management is certainly one you cannot afford to miss.
As a speaker, Dr Tickell is a breath of fresh air. Whether in the boardrooms of IBM or at the coal face of industry, Tickell throws his audiences "life lines" – things that stick in the mind for weeks, months, years – things they remember and act upon.
