Donald is just one generation down from a pioneering New Zealand family … where physical self sufficiency was required for survival. Today, just 50 years later the capabilities required for survival are very different. Today we can be physically incapacitated, and still make a huge contribute to society, because cars, warm houses, welfare, medicine, computers, cell phones etc have largely taken away the need to be physically fit … to survive.

However many people still operate with a paradigm set by pioneering parents and grandparents that traps them in a survival mentality. This does not need to be their fate. With some simple understanding they can thrive.

Donald has studied how to change the survival paradigm, not in an academic way but by working with teams. He has owned his own businesses for nearly 30 years and worked with business leaders over the past 7 years to refine a set of models and processes that really get people excited with their progress. The understanding allows them to thrive.

He works very much in the moment, even in a seminar of 300 people, listening and responding to issues that people are confronting right now. He believes that knowledge is only valuable if it is relevant to this very moment and so he is first a facilitator … he facilitates awareness and absolute acceptance of the current situation … the truth. This appears obvious, but oh so often we don’t do this and we end up applying ourselves to less effective strategies.

Once the truth is accepted people have the space to gain clarity of what could be … their vision. Where do they want to go … their goals? Only then are they in a strong position to choose a strategy that will take them on the next step of their journey.
