David McPhail

David McPhail has, for the past 20 years, written and appeared in a wide variety of television programmes including 'Letter to Blanchy', 'McPhail & Gadsby'. The shows have received numerous awards for writing and production. He also took the title role in the recent comedy series, 'Seven Periods With Mr Gormsby', which won great reviews on both sides of the Tasman.

He has worked extensively at The Court Theatre in Christchurch, both as actor and director, in productions ranging from 'The School for Scandal' to 'Look Back in Anger'. He has performed his one man play, 'Muldoon', which he also wrote, for MPs at Parliament and in the Auckland Festival '03.

David has written and appeared in many corporate videos and fronted several television campaigns, including a major Australian advertising campaign for the Toyota Motor Company.

David McPhail has received many awards for his work. He has been named Actor of the Year and Television Personality of the Year on two occasions. In 1995, he was received the QSM for service to the community.

David is an articulate and witty speaker, debater and professional MC.
