David Kelly is the Chief Executive of Zeald.com (one of the largest and fastest growing website design and e-business consultancy companies in New Zealand).

It is no mean feat to be running a highly successful and fast growing company at the age of just 28 years old. David is a dynamic, inspirational leader and is a passionate advocate of the Internet and the results it can bring. He plays a major part in setting the company’s strategy (and planning the execution of those strategies) and takes an active part in developing the capabilities of the business and its people.

David has been a high achiever from an early age – gifted academically, athletically and musically. As well as being gifted, he possesses energy, perseverance and determination.

His family moved around New Zealand a number of times during his childhood living in Auckland, Ngaruawahia and Wellsford before settling at the beachside town of Mangawhai Heads. David completed his college education from home via correspondence, where he obtained bursary (7th Form) and promptly set off to the ‘big smoke’ to attend university.

David attended Massey University in Albany and completed a Bachelor of Information Sciences, receiving the prestigious top Massey scholar award at his graduation. He then attended Excel School of Performing Arts to pursue one of his other passions -performance music – completing a Certificate in Performance Music in bass guitar and vocals.

It was during his time at Massey that David was fascinated by the emergence of the Internet and the way that it was changing the world in many different areas – especially in the areas of sales and marketing.

It was this fascination, combined with a strong interest in commerce, which resulted in David founding Zeald.com in 2000. He set up the company with his brother and cousin.

David enjoys many water sports and other sports and has been very active in music over the years, playing in many different bands. He also takes part in martial arts.

David is a young, creative entrepreneur who believes what you focus on you can achieve and who believes that staying true to your vision is essential.
