Catriona Rowntree is best known as the presenter of Australia’s Nine Network's Getaway program, which also features on Prime TV in New Zealand.

Catriona studied journalism after working as a researcher with Business Review Weekly, 2GB and Prime Television. In the early 90’s she moved to FM radio as a newsreader and music and lifestyle program host. She started out in community radio and then worked with the ABC youth FM radio station, Triple J until 1996.

Catriona has also written and produced the children’s live entertainment show ‘What’s up Doc?’

Over a decade ago, the Nine Network created the position of reporter for Catriona on Getaway. Getaway is a travel series showcasing the world’s best travel destinations.

Since then Catriona has become a household name not only for her stimulating and informative

Getaway reports from around the globe but also for her appearances in Nine's special telecasts and live broadcasts and as fill-in host for Australia's Funniest Home Videos.Catriona is an accomplished MC – spontaneous, funny and always in control.
