Bill Day
Bill Day is not your ordinary businessman. Managing Director of his own successful maritime service business, he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000. His company lays fibre optic cables, runs underwater robots and salvages sunken vessels and his work has included managing marine movies for US film director Steven Spielberg and dealings with the oil industry in the Middle East.
Bill Day has built his business around strong teams, strong leadership, vision and risk and has one or two extraordinary stories to tell. Issues that are crucial to any business, for Bill and his company can mean the difference between success and failure, between hundreds of thousands of dollars lost or found, sometimes between life and death!
In his mid forties, Bill Day has already lived at least five careers, any one of which would satisfy a less energetic, less capable man. He has no less than 14 professional qualifications including Master of Business, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts Degrees.
Bill offers lively, energetic and amusing presentations, backed with personal anecdotes on entrepreneurship, business growth, risk taking, goal setting and taking a business internationally.
Bill is also able to speak on his search for the ill-fated shipwreck of the General Grant, which provides the fabric of an intriguing and highly valuable business presentation. Supported by stunning visual aids, Bill weaves an important message on the keys to business success through people.
