Barry Urquhart is a marketing and business strategist and author of 'Serves You Right!' and 'Service Please!', the two biggest selling books on quality customer service in Australasia.
Barry is managing director of a Perth based market research and strategic planning practice consulting to multinational, national and local entities in the private and public sectors. He has also been a successful consultant in the specialised area of shopping centre development.
He is a former lecturer in Marketing and Management at the Curtin University of Technology and has degrees in marketing, political science and sociology.
He is co-author of two books, 'The Jindalee Factor', a detailed study of 21 leading Western Australian entrepreneurs, which is a top selling publication in five English speaking countries, and 'From Black Hole to Blue Sky – the Future for Australian Business'.
His fifth book, 'Business Imperatives – Business Success Made Simple', addresses the nature and benefits of 32 imperatives of business while his sixth best seller, 'Marketing Magic', is subtitled "streetsmart marketing and why perception is reality" and discusses how to increase consumer traffic, optimise revenue and profits and also improve client retention.
