April Ieremia

April, a former New Zealand netballer, is probably best known for her award winning role as sports presenter on TVNZ's Network News and co-presenter of TVNZ's Sports Night. In 2007 she appeared in Celebrity Treasure Island and Dancing with the Stars.

April has barely been off New Zealand TV screens, since making her television debut in 1990. Continuing her long association with sport, the former New Zealand Netball representative has co-hosted a number of major sports events for ONE Sport including the Victoria and Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games, the Atlanta and Sydney Olympic Games and the World Netball Championships. Her debut to television was in 1990 when she fronted the World Youth Festival with Natalie Brunt. In 1993 April was selected as co-presenter, with Greg Clarke, for Moro Sports Extra. Her success in this role resulted in her joining TVNZ's Network News as a sports presenter.

April won the Best Presenter Award at the Qantas Media Awards in 1997, and branched out in 1998 to host her own show, April's Angels, a popular charity and community based programme on TV2. She also hosted The Money Game: Trans-Tasman Challenge. With her natural presentation style and warm personality, April appeals to a wide range of audiences, both as a speaker and MC.
