Annabelle White
Author of eight cookbooks, popular TV and radio cook, and Sunday Star-Times food detective, the effervescent Annabelle White combines great energy in the kitchen with simple tips, easy and achievable recipes and plenty of fun.
As well as writing for various magazines and newspapers, Annabelle has worked regularly in radio for the past twelve years and hosted the Newstalk ZB Foodie Show on Saturday mornings nationwide for nearly a year. She has also hosted spots on Classic Hits nationwide and Easy Mix.
Annabelle has published eight cook books – the first -__Best Recipes__ (1997) has been reprinted for a third time and has sold over 45,000 copies in NZ and Australia. The second cook book - Barbecue __Fun__ cook book sold in excess of 35,000 copies. Her third book A sequel to Best Recipes __was released in April 1999 and made it to the Best Sellers List for 8 weeks and was number one in New Zealand.
Television experience includes a stint working for TV3 Nightline as a zany food reporter in 1990-1991 as well as guest appearances in 1997 with TV3’s “Some Like It Hot” and news and lifestyle programmes when judging food competitions or promotion of a cook book. For three years, television work also included three 4-5 minute cooking spots each week on “5.00 With Jude Dobson” a life-style/general interest programme on TVNZ.
In January/ February of 2001 she fronted her own show of two parts – __World on a Plate with a quirky twist on bagels in New York and BBQ’S in the Kingdom of Tonga.
Annabelle is a regular public speaker and stand-up comedian for charity to small and large. She also does sessions on “Business Etiquette” – for corporate clients – from cocktail parties to business lunches concerning the “dos and dont’s”.
Annabelle's life is definitely a rich tapestry of experiences and she delights in sharing these in her interactive presentations. Annabelle's presentations are interesting, entertaining and enjoyable.
