Steve Larkins has been a professional piano player/singer for 25 years. The artists he has worked with reads like the who’s who of New Zealand entertainment. From “When the Cats Away”, to Dave Dobbyn, Midge Marsden, Ardijah, Hello Sailor, Suzanne Lynch (The Chicks), Tina Cross, Ray Columbus, Larry Morris, Hammond Gambol, Mike King, Russel Harrison – the list goes on.
Steve regularly features at “Sky City Casino” as a solo act, and currently in a duo with Suzanne Lynch. His music style ranges from easy listening jazz, to middle of the road, and rock/pop current and past classics. Steve’s latest exercise – “Mercury Rising” is a light hearted tribute to the talent, personality, and songs made famous by Freddie Mercury and Queen. A definite crowd pleaser, literally “guaranteed to blow your mind”.
Steve certainly looks the part and has all the over the top moves Freddie was famous for, combined with a great voice accompanied by professional fully sequenced backing tracks.This is a hilarious quality performance ideal as a cameo floorshow as part of an evenings entertainment.
